What makes this Featherweight special?
The held in 1933 and 1934 was an enormous event, attracting nearly 50,000,000 visitors. Singer sold machines at the fair and took the occasion to debut the new Featherweight sewing machines commissioned October 3rd, 1933. The machines sold at the Fair in 1934 had the recognizable, commemorative badge with a red ring. There are just 40 of these Featherweights known to exist making them extremely rare and collectable.
This Featherweight first arrived to us in very poor condition, and because of its rarity and infamy, we made the decision to restore it back to gloss black. The choice to restore a sought-after machine like this one back to original black greatly increased its value and appeal as the traditional look has been maintained. We have taken care to preserve as many parts as possible in the restoration process; with extra care, we were able to retain and reuse the original brads that hold the badge in place! Each one of our restored and repainted Featherweights receives hours of personal care in its disassembly, painting process, reassembly, stitch sampling and overall preparation for each and every customer.
To guarantee the authenticity of this restoration, we took photos showing the machine, the badge and the serial number before restoration took place. To protect the future buyer, we have covered up the last number of the serial number in the photos, but the intricacies in the stamping of each other number can be identified in both the before and after photos.

The original , 1933 manual, and fully restored metal foot controller are also included. was used to bring a beautiful finish back to the original case. A type I case this beautiful is nearly as unique as the Chicago badged machine itself; at nearly 90 years old, this set is indeed a rarity.
The machine is fitted with an original 110-volt motor that has been to work at optimum speed and torque.
