The latter is known to be made for the Baroda Native State (Indian Army) during Britain's rule of India by A Rodwell & Co. They are marked by the maker and with the regimental designation. By extension, the present example is attributed to the Baroda Native State infantry. It is Iron with knuckle bow arsenal marked in Hindi. The 26 ¼” wedge section blade is curved with a short false edge and the very rare feature of a thickened armor piercing point. The grips are diced leather in British fashion.
