In the style beloved of the Arts and Crafts Movement, this very sweet antique safety pin brooch is hand crafted in 18ct yellow Gold. The design is very similar to those made by the famous Murrle Bennet & Co with a beaded cage capturing the rich purple Amethyst gem and rare wild Pearls to the chain section. An enchanting piece as a gift expressing the sense of wonder at the natural world which the artisans desired to show through their work. 

We imagine this adorable jewel worn on the collar as was the fashion at the time. It measures an inch and a half and fastens just as a safety pin does, marked for '18CT' on the pin.
